Keni Thomas--Another Mexico Song
It turns out Mr. Thomas went to high school right around the corner from the house I used to live in. It was great to trade emails with such a grounded, talented and accomplished individual. With a little research, I learned that he also happens to also be a decorated military veteran with an incredible life story.
He has two fine albums and a memoir that I look forward to reading soon. I wrote about his moving breakthrough appearance on a episode of Louie entitled "Duckling" over at my personal blog.
This is a really fun single of his called "Another Mexico Song," which is available on iTunes.

Faith No More--Midlife Crisis
Incidentally, the band that I was in back in the early 90's, Fuse, sampled this song on our not-hit "Through Out," which can be enjoyed here.

Scroobius Pip--Let Em Come
LiliAna Rose - Freedom
All it needs is a little production, and it's a hit. In my book, anyway. LiliAna Rose is a very strong contender for the TWS Talent Competition.

Belly--Super-Connected
Patrick Ball - Carolan's Dream
Everyone has their favorite Wheel of Time music. I guess we are all film directors when it comes to the Wheel of Time. I would play this music as the Emond Fielders are riding away with Moiraine, Lan, and Tom, not knowing if they will ever return.
This would be Egwene's music.

Paul McCartney - Live And Let Die
Old Mac kicks out the jams. He is still quite the entertainer.
Rick Steves Says "High Is A Place"
Steves says he likes to go places, and "high is a place." I concur. Steves is, after Marco Polo, probably the most famous world traveler the world has ever known. Shouldn't we hear what he has to say?

Merlin's Magic - The Heart Of Reiki

So absorbed in meditation, plants grow on him!
This You Tube video, unfortunately, will not allow embedding. Normally I don't post links to You Tube, but for this meditation music I will make an exception. If you want to relax with soulful, sattvic sound vibrations, this is for you.

Kristin Hersh & Tanya Donelly--Dragonhead
And here's the original.
Jenny Lewis--Pretty Bird
Bob Dylan - Like A Rolling Stone
The first time I heard this song, I went crazy. First I discovered the Beatles (well, who didn't), then Dylan, and then Hindu deities. And that pretty much describes me.
Woody Guthrie & Pete Seeger
That's Sonny Terry on mouth harp with Guthrie. I don't know who the other guitarist is. It sounds like Seeger narrating. He is 92 years old.

Male Circumcision OK, Female C. Not OK

Title 18 – Crimes and Criminal Procedure
Part I - Crimes
Chapter 7 - Assault
Section 116 - Female genital mutilation
(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), whoever knowingly circumcises, excises, or infibulates the whole or any part of the labia majora or labia minora or clitoris of another person who has not attained the age of 18 years shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
(b) A surgical operation is not a violation of this section if the operation is--
(1) necessary to the health of the person on whom it is performed, and is performed by a person licensed in the place of its performance as a medical practitioner; or
(2) performed on a person in labor or who has just given birth and is performed for medical purposes connected with that labor or birth by a person licensed in the place it is performed as a medical practitioner, midwife, or person in training to become such a practitioner or midwife.
(c) In applying subsection (b)(1), no account shall be taken of the effect on the person on whom the operation is to be performed of any belief on the part of that person, or any other person, that the operation is required as a matter of custom or ritual.
(Added Pub. L. 104-208, div. C, title VI, Sec. 645(b)(1), Sept. 30, 1996, 110 Stat. 3009-709.)
Why is it legal to circumcise minor boys, but it is not legal to circumcise minor girls? The answer is plain. Circumcision of boys is a part of Judeo-Christian culture, but circumcision of girls is not. Why the double standard? Why isn't religious circumcision of any minor, male or female, a form of religious extremism?
