It sounds like the skiffle style of music that was popular when they were teenagers. They went way beyond this stage, but the British Isles folk genre was always there in their foundations.

The reason I am posting this video is because of this Yahoo article. I have seen many articles about the plight of Muslims in Kashmir, but I have never seen one about the Kashmiri Pandits, who are Hindu, in ordinary media outlets. Why?

WHY?

At the end of the video posted above, it is stated that India journalists of both the right and the left have not spoken out about the oppression of Hindus in Kashmir. And I wonder why...

I watched the epilogue of Lost last night, and it was a fairly well done excuse to squeeze a few more answers out of the writers. The epilogue can be found on disc-5 of the season 6 set, which was released earlier this week.

The epilogue got me going, and the special features sucked me in. By the time I exhausted all of the material on the disc, I was feeling extremely nostalgic for the show, so I went online and started reading other people's opinions about the epilogue, which quickly led to the discovery of this gem:

"For You Blue" is not my favorite Harrison melody, but it is a strong one. Very distinctive. Check out Lennon on slide guitar--I had presumed it was Harrison. I had also thought that it was Harrison on piano. It seems that Lennon and McCartney grokked Harrison's style and imitated him on slide and piano.

I am glad no one was killed at this stupid event, which was not really a bullfight, but is first cousin to that demonic practice. So good, no one killed.

But I'm on the bulls' side. This particular bull just decided he should get even. Let's face it, a bullfight is not really a fight. It is a cruel and unusual punishment for a bovine, just so humans can enjoy violence. Actually, these staged events are quite inhuman. They do not enhance our humanity, they degrade it. Spain should be ashamed of this tradition. Maybe it is not the biggest problem in the world, but it is certainly a tragedy that can be stopped. It's bullshit.

We need immediate legislation that specifically states that videotaping cops is legal, and that infringing upon this sacred right will cost a cop his job. Go ahead and give them raises, though, because they are doing a dangerous job. But hold them to the Constitution. Otherwise, what kind of country are we living in?
