My father was born beneath this water tower
in Clovis, New Mexico, 1926


This song is dedicated to my father, who passed away five years ago today. He didn't completely understand what happened in the 1960's--who does--but he understood it better than some others of his generation.

Scott McKenzie's song might be considered cheezy, as today's kids say, but Dad liked it.
