I've been on a bit of a Liz Phair kick, since I discovered a few acoustic reworkings of some of her great early songs. The first two in this trio are acoustic versions. The third is an album version of one of my favorite, hopefully ironic, songs about materialism.

By the way something, the first hearing on the indictments degenerated into something resembling the end of And Justice for All. Not the greatest beginning to an uphill legal battle, but perhaps the making of a great film one of these days.
This is one of my all time favorite songs and perhaps the best song of the 90s.

MÜNSTER, Germany -- Muhammad Sven Kalisch, a Muslim convert and Germany's first professor of Islamic theology, fasts during the Muslim holy month, doesn't like to shake hands with Muslim women and has spent years studying Islamic scripture. Islam, he says, guides his life.
So it came as something of a surprise when Prof. Kalisch announced the fruit of his theological research. His conclusion: The Prophet Muhammad probably never existed.
