Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan was caught on a live mike ridiculing the choice of Sarah Palin.
"It's over," said Noonan, who then responded to a question of whether Palin is the most qualified Republican woman McCain could have chosen.
"The most qualified? No. I think they went for this — excuse me — political bullshit about narratives," she said. "Every time Republicans do that ... because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at and they blow it."
I think the real reason the conservatives blow it whenever they do the narrative thing is that people don't want to hear their stories. Their stories are not compelling either because 1) We have already heard them a thousand times, as in McCain's endless recounting of his POW days, and 2) The stories are really about nothing. So Palin is a soccer Mom. I drove a cab in San Diego for 6 years, and that is why you should vote for me for dog catcher--I have experience and judgment.
Right.
