Corsi's Book Rebutted By Obama Campaign

Conservatives still use the tactics of Karl
Rove,
so how can they claim their man
McCain is not
a Bush clone?

From Yahoo News:

HONOLULU - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama hit back Thursday with a 40-page rebuttal to the best-selling book "The Obama Nation," arguing the author [Jerome Corsi] is a fringe bigot peddling rehashed lies.

In a series of Web posts several years ago, Corsi said Pope John Paul II was senile and unconcerned about sexual molestation of boys, referred to Islam is "a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion" and suggested Kerry was secretly Jewish. Corsi apologized for the remarks and now says he didn't mean them and was simply trying to provoke discussion.

Corsi's apology is 100% cynical. He only apologized so he can claim he apologized, so he can then tell more lies, and then apologize again, and once again claim he apologized, and...

Actually I think most of us have wondered the same thing about the Pope, but why should Corsi's religion be any less Satanic than Islam? After all, the Inquisition was a distinctly Christian (Catholic) institution, and Protestants also tortured people who disagreed with them--usually other Protestants.

Corsi is a flat out liar, and his readers are so eager to believe him they will invent lies of their own under his tutelage; that's the idea. Now Obama's campaign has come out with a rebuttal and we should all read it, but that's not enough. A book about McCain's crap should be produced ASAP.

Will it be? Station Agent?

STATION AGENT: Hey Hector, I'm dropping into your post. There already is a book about McCain called, The Real McCain. It's full of salacious stuff about John McCain, except it's true. It's ugly, but that's McCain's fault.

I'm glad you posted about this. I was just about to put this post from IST over here, but you got it covered.
