What an amazing, moving, simple, ineffably beautiful, heartbreaking song. I can't believe Dion had it in him. But there it is. Thank you, for digging it up. It brought tears to my eyes on this sad memory day today.

It's always good to hear from you Chris. Jay and I are honored to have such a cultured individual as yourself visit our blog.

Hector, you're cool too. I just wrote a post on The Pondering Pig telling my readers, whomever they may be, to come rushing over to listen to Dion (NOT Celine Dion by the way)sing this again. I wept as I listened, Hector. Is it because I was there? Experienced those days? I don't know, but I thank you again for the gift.

Like Chris, this song got me pretty teary. I was but 11 years old, but I watched with my father Bobby's speech at the Ambassador. Then I watched everything that followed into the next day. When will we ever learn?
