"I'm spinning, Oh, I'm spinning..."

Eddie Vedder remains a polarizing figure in music. Giants of rock and roll like Springsteen and Townsend swear by him. Others, Cobain and Hector Diego for example, don't get the appeal. Others still, like my friend Lisa, only listen to Pearl Jam and nothing else.

I could never listen to one musician at the exclusion of all others, but she knows what she likes.

This is an intense ballad I would gladly have played at my wedding. It's "Black".
