Glen Campbell---Galveston

by Hector Diego

As an honorably discharged veteran of the Viet Nam war, my eldest brother was invited to speak at an anti-Iraq war rally. He stood at the podium and declared that the best way to support our troops was to bring them home.

The Walrus Speaks wants all American service men and women to know that we support their hopes to return home ASAP, alive and well, from a conflict that cannot be resolved by the US, or at least by the US alone.

Campbell's Galveston was a big hit at the height of the Viet Nam war. I have always remembered the image of the soldier cleaning his gun, while dreaming of home. This song is dedicated to you guys over there.

God bless you, and God keep you.
