J.S. Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Marie-Claire Alain

by Hector Diego

Johann Sebastian Bach was not one of these asocial or socially awkward tortured musical geniuses. He was simply a musical genius, born of privilege, with a huge family, who went to work every day and was very successful. He was a very religious man, a member of the Establishment, an upright German.

He rules from Timbuctu to Kathmandu.

Marie-Claire Alain is the most recorded organist ever.
